Oscillator

OSC — Oscillator

POLYREX’s oscillator blends square, triangle, sub, and noise sources with pulse-width modulation and LFO pitch control. Classic poly synth bite with modern flexibility.

OSC Panel
SQUARE / TRIANGLE
Selects the oscillator wave shape. Square produces a classic rich and buzzy analog tone; Triangle produces a smoother and softer sound.
SUB
Controls the volume of a sub square oscillator. Adds deep low-end weight one octave below the main oscillator.
NOISE
Controls the volume of the noise generator. Useful for adding texture, grit, or air. Also useful for creating snare and percussion sounds.
PWM
Adjusts the Pulse Width Modulation amount of the square wave. Creates movement and classic vintage synth character.
LFO
Sets how much the LFO modulates the oscillator pitch for vibrato and modulation effects.
ENV / GATE
Chooses how the envelope behaves:

ENV — Envelope controls both the oscillator and filter shape.

GATE — Notes stay fully open while held, affecting mainly the filter response.

Envelope

Envelope & HPF

Full ADSR envelope for fast shaping across pads, plucks, basses, and keys. The high-pass filter sits alongside to tighten low end or sculpt thinner retro textures.

Envelope Panel
HPF Panel
ATK.
Sets how long it takes for the sound to rise from silence to full volume after pressing a key.
DCY.
Sets how long it takes for the sound to fall from the peak level to the sustain level.
SUS.
Sets the level held while a key remains pressed.
REL.
Sets how long the sound takes to fade out after releasing a key.
HPF
Controls the high-pass filter cutoff frequency. Removes low frequencies from the signal.
Filter

Filter

A smooth, vintage-style resonant filter with full LFO and envelope modulation. Shapes anything from warm pads to screaming leads.

Filter Panel
FREQ.
Controls the filter cutoff frequency. Lower values create a darker sound; higher values make the sound brighter.
RES.
Controls filter resonance. Higher settings emphasize frequencies around the cutoff point for a sharper, more resonant tone.
LFO
Sets how much the LFO modulates the filter cutoff for rhythmic filter movement.
ENV
Sets how much the envelope modulates the filter cutoff, shaping the filter response over time.
Modulation

LFO

The LFO drives both oscillator pitch and filter cutoff modulation. Set rate, delay time, and sync mode for anything from subtle vibrato to deep rhythmic sweeps.

LFO Panel
LFO RATE
Sets the speed of the LFO modulation. Controls the LFO depth on both the OSC and FILTER simultaneously.
LFO D.TIME
Sets the fade-in time before the LFO modulation reaches full intensity. Useful for delayed vibrato effects.
LFO SYNC
Switches the LFO rate between free-running Hz mode or tempo-synced DAW timing.
Performance

Arpeggiator

Built-in arpeggiator with direction, octave range, and rate controls. Instant rhythmic inspiration with full DAW sync support.

ARP Panel
ARP ON/OFF
Enables or disables the arpeggiator.
ARP SYNC
Switches the arpeggiator timing between free-running Hz mode or tempo-synced DAW timing.
ARP UP
Plays notes upward from lowest to highest.
ARP UP-DOWN
Plays notes upward then downward in sequence.
ARP DOWN
Plays notes downward from highest to lowest.
ARP OCT 1
Arpeggiates notes across 1 octave.
ARP OCT 2
Arpeggiates notes across 2 octaves.
ARP OCT 3
Arpeggiates notes across 3 octaves.
ARP RATE
Sets the playback speed of the arpeggiator.
Effects

FX

Vintage-inspired built-in effects. Chorus for classic poly shimmer, tape modes for analog coloration, and spring reverb for depth and space.

FX Panel
FX ON/OFF
Enables or disables the entire effects section.
CHORUS I
Enables Chorus Mode I for subtle stereo widening and movement.
CHORUS II
Enables Chorus Mode II for a deeper and more pronounced chorus effect.
DELAY
Sets the delay time and controls the amount of delay effect applied to the signal.
SPRING
Controls the amount of spring reverb.
Performance

Performance Controls

Dedicated front-panel sliders for real-time pitch, glide, and modulation control. Shape the feel of the synth on the fly.

Performance Sliders
GLIDE
Sets the portamento time between notes for smooth pitch transitions.
LFO MOD
Applies LFO modulation to oscillator pitch.
BLENDER
Blends modulation between oscillator pitch and filter cutoff.
Bend
Sets the amount of pitch bend applied to the oscillator.
Filter
Sets the amount of pitch bend applied to the filter cutoff.
MONO
Switches POLYREX from polyphonic to monophonic playback. When enabled, only one note plays at a time. Enabling Mono also activates PN Unison, which stacks all 6 voices simultaneously on each note for a thick, powerful unison sound.
